Prostate Cancer’s Impact on African American Men – WEAA NEWS

During Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, WEAA hosted a panel discussion on the impact of prostate cancer on African-American men—an issue that, according to a Senate resolution, has reached epidemic levels. Joining our discussion: Robert Ginyard, a prostate cancer survivor and an advocate for raising awareness; Dr. Farin Kamangar, Chairman for the Department of Public Health Analysis at Morgan State University; and Dr. Mahsa Mohebtash, hematologist/oncologist at Union Memorial Hospital. The segment is hosted by Jerry Bembry, a professor in the Department of Communications at Morgan State University.

  1. Great article, I’d like to add… One of the most important parts of your skin care routine after age 40, is gentle cleansing. As you age, the tissues of your face become more delicate. Special care should be taken when washing your face to avoid stretching the tissue. Use a small amount of cleanser and use your fingertips to gentle spread the cleanser in a circular motion over your face. Rinse with warm, not hot, water and pat dry.
